The laboratory, in the record
Today, one test often means four data-entry steps: on the analyser, on a piece of paper, in the record, on the invoice. Labrador keeps only one.
The integration is in development. The first one is for Melet Schloesing analysers; other brands will follow.
Our official partner
Labrador is developed with Melet Schloesing Laboratoires, official partner. 40 years of veterinary expertise.
MS Laboratoires is a French company, based in Osny in the Val-d'Oise and in business since 1986. It makes haematology and biochemistry analysers for vets. That is what makes a complete integration with these analysers possible. The only public documentation we have found about them describes receiving the result only.
You request
During the consultation, you choose the test. That is the only data-entry step.
The analyser knows
The animal appears on the analyser's worklist, with its species.
The result comes back
It goes into the record, with reference ranges and history.
The invoice follows
The test line is added. Nothing that was run is forgotten.
One way, or both?
One-way integration
The analyser sends its result to the software. You first have to enter the animal on the analyser, then attach the result to the right record.
Two-way integration
The software sends the request to the analyser, with the animal's identity. The result comes back to the right record by itself.
What it changes in your day
No more retyping
The animal's identity is typed only once, at check-in.
Fewer mistakes
A result can no longer end up in the wrong record.
Tests that get invoiced
Every test that is run has its line on the invoice.
A readable history
Results can be compared from one visit to the next.
Inside the practice
The integration runs on site: it doesn't depend on the internet connection.
